For now, we consider the server to be in beta testing. When ready, it is going to move to a “real” hosted server. We will try to preserve everything, but you should be forewarned that while your structures will be saved almost no matter what, you may lose your inventory and you may need to re-create your sponge protections. We’ll try to preserve your money. Your pets may need to be replaced based on past experiences with moving a server. When it is time for the switch, we suggest moving your stuff into chests rather than keeping it in your inventory. We don’t expect the beta period to be long, but that will depend on how much we find we need to work on. We also don’t plan to go “live” until we finish building the various attractions.

Today we updated to totally revamp the way Creative works. Now when you do /creative or push the lobby button for it, you go to a Creative Plots spawn area. (Yes, we built the whole thing in under 2 hours, I told you it is an elite team). It includes instructions on how to use the Plots plus a button you can press to have a command/guidebook added to your Creative inventory. The inventories are necessarily separate in Creative and Survival so players can't give themselves stuff in Creative and then take it back to Survival. It also includes a room full of simple ideas for things children can create in their Creative plots.
Other change for today is that we implemented several anti-cheat and anti-hack measures. Basically, if you're suddenly more successful than the default settings in MC allow, you'll get disconnected. It also keeps a running tally, so if someone keeps trying to find ways around it, their account will be automatically blocked. If this happens to you and you weren't doing anything naughty, we would appreciate knowing. We need to minimize the false positives with these since obviously we don't want to reject law-abiding players.

Marshmallows21 gave us very useful feedback today. When you went to the Grand Hotel lobby (landing point for Survival), it was unclear how to get away from it to go where you could mine/build. The Grand Hotel sits on an admittedly massive protected area. So now there are two warps that immediately take you past the protection to open areas. The lobby has been gutted and rebuilt to have a portal you step into that automatically takes you to one of two build areas when you step on the pressure plate for that area. There is also a quick travel area with warp signs that take you to various interesting places on the Mine4Eternity server.
The cheating protection was removed today because it was causing lag so badly that players were being disconnected, plus it was accusing players who sold stuff at the shop of issuing repetitive commands. When we move the server to a "real" server with better network connectivity and a dedicated machine, we will revisit adding the cheat protection back. If you REALLY want to fly 50% faster for now by modifying your MC client, go for it, that's not exactly a disaster for us.

Today's changes:
1. Updated /seen command to tell us when a player has last logged on, but not where they have logged in from. 2. Construction continues on economy hotel. 3. Cenotaph monument in honor of soccerme12 added at /warp cenotaph. Soccerme12 was a Minecraft player we knew who was killed by a drunk driver about a year ago.

Yesterday:
1) SVMoney finished "The Tour", a roller coaster/train combination that combines a mild rollercoaster with a train tour around the whole RidesZone Park. The wooden framework for it is incredible, like roller coasters of old. Thrill to the extended view of Dorothy and her friends. See the haunted castle. Get ideas for places you can visit once you get off of the train.
2) Had some trouble with the Minecraft server instance on the hosted server. Had to change the IP address and the FTP server setup. Due to the wonders of DNS this won't affect you at all.
Changes for today:
1) Fixed issue where you couldn't sell ender pearls to the shop. Now you can hunt endermen profitably. 2) Tested process for importing .schematic files into hosted server. It can be done but it's not easy and requires stopping the server for awhile. 3) Made players no longer take damage in the RidesZone area. We figured since there are no monsters and you can't put your house there or build there, the only way you could get damaged is by the rides or the zoo creatures, so we set it so that you can't be hurt there at all. If you somehow work at it and manage to hurt yourself, well, we MIGHT go get your stuff or we might not.
